I am very happy to add a new premium theme to INSRAQ.me Shop: InsProjekt. As its name suggests, it is a theme designed for projects or products. But actually it may suit very different purposes.
The theme has a very clean and neat design. As I understand that many people prefer a simple theme rather than a theme with many many features. They like the theme to be just about “design” so that they can customize the functions as they like. It is hard to customize a very functional theme as conflicts will often be seen.
So InsProjekt is just about the design, there are only basic functions. The slideshow is not integrated with XOOPS block system. As such integration will cause some misunderstanding in blocks. But I promise the theme is easy to modify. I have put all the files that you will ever need to modify in tpl folder. Open the HTML files there and start customizing. You don’t need to search the main files with lots of unrelated codes. And I’ve made detailed comments in the files.
To be consistent with our low price policy, the theme is only priced at $2. Actually I am interested in Paypal system: If I the price is so low that it cannot cover transaction fee, how does Paypal charge that?

Buy it now from INSRAQ.me Shop to instantly get your files

And, I’ve updated 960 Grid System for XOOPS to ver 1.5. I’ve added tons of new features and fix lots of bugs. Please check out at Lab section.
Many people suggest that I set up a subscription club or something like that. They want to try all of the themes before deciding which one to use on production website. I also think it is a good idea. But I am afraid that I might be busy some time and could not release themes regularly. If you paid for an annual membership, you expect to get themes on a regular basis. I don’t want to let you down so I will not set up the subscription. However, I would apply the low price policy: charging the price as low as possible (to cover my hosting bills), so that even if you buy all the themes, it is still very affordable.

Web Design & Development,

I seldom post about my personal life here. This blog is all about geek stuff. And I don’t have another personal blog. Basically the major part of my life is about being a geek.
I went to take ferry recently. It’s not my first: as I used to take ferry very often. But since I move to Hong Kong, I have never done that. Hong Kong has its ferry across the Victoria Harbor (Star Ferry), but that’s quite different. The Star Ferry only takes few minutes and the voyage is very short.
Qingdao ferry has a relative long voyage, about 30 minutes. And ferry is quite big: it can carry few hundred people and thirty cars (Start Ferry cannot carry cars, and can only carry less than a hundred people).
I was fortunate enough to take the photo of sunset in the sea. The rain had just stopped and the sky was not fully cleared. My digital camera is very low end, Kodak something, but the scene is absolutely amazing!
About the picture, feel free to use it as it is in public domain.
P.S. I’ve built myself a imagebed.

Life,
The design comes from one of my abandoned design concept. It is not the client that abandoned the design, I did. I don’t like it, but other people might like this style so I spend a few hours making a theme out of the concept.
I integrate Superfish menu and slideshow into the theme, and they can be modified by editing tpl/*.html.
You can do whatever you want to the theme, including resell and redistribution. It is also OK to use it to a commercial project. I don’t really care. All files are licensed under GPL 2.0 except for the demo photos in slideshow.

Web Design & Development, [4]
I like the previous design. Actually, I like it so much that I feel guilty discarding it. However, I do need to work on the Works page. I started working last night. But then I totally lost control and decided to redesign the whole site.

I like the style of minimalism. But actually to design a good minimalist theme is not easy. The use of white space and typography is very difficult. Since you have the least style, you have to pay special attention to margins, paddings and fonts.
You might have noticed that the current style it is very similar to InsMinimal, my free theme for XOOPS, which is my favourite. And as a free giveaway, I offer three copies of Inslight. The coupon code is xoopsorg, please take this chance. It expires at the end of this month.
I haven’t had any plans for my next theme. I might need some serious thinking :-) I am looking for something creative. And I am now looking into the theme engine of X3, the next stage of XOOPS engine. The engine is now quite raw, we need to give the developers more time to polish it.
I’ve added a live chat section in contact page. Feel free to use it. It is powered by Gtalk. If you have few words to talk to me or a simple inquiry, using live chat is convenient. However, if you want to talk about a project, please make use of the contact form: It is easier for me to keep tract and get back to you.

Site Issue,
I am very happy to add a new premium theme for hi,insraq! Shop. It is named Inslight, “light” as in “lightweight”. I first want to make a minimalism premium theme. But later I find out that minimalism is not very popular when it comes to business template. So I make it a little fancier and I don’t want to change the name.
